Preserving the beauty of a traditional black kurotomesode, this piece has been transformed into contemporary mode streetwear.
Bold asymmetric draping meets vivid cranes in motion against deep black, creating a distinctive expression of NEO SAMURAI.
Design
A layered construction combines sculptural skirt panels with wide-leg pants. Asymmetric lengths and volumes create a changing silhouette from every angle, while the relaxed wide shape brings together mode and streetwear influences. Seam pockets add practical functionality without interrupting the clean, dimensional design.
Fit
Designed with a fully elasticated waist fitting approximately 72–90 cm. The relaxed wide-leg pants provide freedom of movement, while the layered skirt creates natural dimension as the wearer moves. The silhouette is designed for unisex styling.
Vintage Kimono
Reconstructed from a vintage black kurotomesode featuring vivid cranes and botanical motifs in red, white and gold against a deep black ground. Gold accents highlight the cranes, while the original motifs are positioned across the asymmetric panels to reveal different compositions from the front and back.
