Remade kimono. Reborn identity.

.

[ Design Features ]

Rooted in black tomesode and vintage kimono fabrics, TATZU transforms the aesthetics of traditional Japan into contemporary street mode.

Asymmetrical jackets, bold bi-color contrasts, and avant-garde silhouettes such as sarouel pants and skirts embody the quiet strength and inner resolve of our signature “NEO SAMURAI” style.

[ Brand Concept ]

Rediscovering and reinventing Japanese culture.

TATZU proposes a “NEO SAMURAI” style that fuses the refined beauty of kimono with the energy of modern fashion and street culture.

Drawing on the elegance of black tomesode and the raw strength of aged textiles, we create bold, identity-driven garments that resonate with today’s world and beyond.

[ Craftsmanship ]

Every TATZU piece is born from close collaboration between a Japanese designer and a skilled team of local tailors.

In our atelier-workshop in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, we handle everything from pattern making to sewing and inspection, ensuring premium quality with every stitch.

Some pieces feature natural fiber linings, traditional dyeing, or shibori techniques—quiet details that enrich both comfort and individuality.

[ Atelier & Services ]

At our atelier, we not only sell TATZU originals but also offer made-to-order remakes of kimono into contemporary fashion.

Clients can select from a wide range of stock kimono—including tomesode, furisode, kuromontsuki, houmongi, tsukesage, iromuji, komon, tsumugi, haori, yukata, and obi—and have them transformed into a one-of-a-kind garment tailored to their style and size.

We welcome orders from Japan and abroad, offering a space where you can experience the essence of the TATZU universe.

[ Distribution & Development ]

Beyond our Phnom Penh atelier, TATZU actively participates in international fashion shows and pop-up events.

Our online shop delivers collections to customers worldwide.

Balancing a global perspective with artisanal integrity, we continue to create new value and possibilities for Japanese culture through fashion.
