Remade Kimono. Reborn Identity.
This one-of-a-kind flared dress was created at the request of a ballet studio teacher for a stage costume. We took a vintage kimono with a phoenix pattern and reconstructed it, combining it with a plain black kimono.
We preserved the original beauty of the kimono while reconstructing it into a modern silhouette that shines on stage.
The striking phoenix is a symbol of rebirth and strength. Together with the gorgeous flowers, we carefully considered the placement of the patterns to maximize the beauty of this design.
The hem has ample flare, designed so that the kimono's pattern and silhouette beautifully spread out when walking or dancing. We also considered ease of movement, ensuring it doesn't hinder body movements on stage.
We reconstruct each piece into a new form, considering the individuality of the fabric, pattern, and the wearer.
