Remade Kimono. Reborn Identity.
This one-of-a-kind bicolor hoodie was commissioned by a Japanese client who wanted a distinctive kimono-remade piece to wear at international events—something stylish, eye-catching, and expressive of Japanese aesthetics.
Two vintage Japanese haori were reconstructed into a bold red-and-black composition: one featuring botanical motifs on a deep black ground, the other defined by its vivid red pattern. The relaxed streetwear silhouette and striking bicolor construction create a strong contemporary presence.
The original colors and motifs extend across the body, sleeves, and hood, creating a different visual expression from every angle. Traditional Japanese textiles are reimagined through a contemporary street-mode aesthetic unique to TATZU.
