The Making Process

TATZU aloha shirts are created with a meticulous, artisanal process—far from mass production.

1. Carefully sourced vintage kimonos from Japan

2. Deconstruction into fabric panels

3. Washed to prevent shrinkage, then ironed to restore texture

4. Pattern placement and cutting with attention to motif balance (on 40cm kimono fabric width)

5. Patterns matched seamlessly from body to pocket for a continuous design

6. Sewn with a combination of machine stitching and hand finishing

7. Final inspection and finishing for uncompromising quality

Care Instructions

• Dry cleaning recommended

• For hand wash: use mild detergent, wash gently, and dry in the shade

• Store in a cool, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and humidity
